The Residence from Parc Investments

So, news has recently surfaced that a UK based company called Parc Investments Group has purchased a large parcel of property which fronts the northenmost part of Grand Anse Beach. Parc’s official website offers this as their description of The Residence – a multi-storey condo development. Looks great huh?

NO IT DOES NOT!

It is bad enough that, what with the local brouhaha ongoing about Peter deSavary and his Port Louis and Mt Cinnamon projects, no one (unrelated to the government) appeared to be aware that this project was even in the works, much less that it received its planning approval, as the linked web page indicates:

Full planning permission was secured in December 2007

Really??? Wha’?! Rumors circulating here include, among others, that the Minister for Tourism, the Honorable Claris Modeste-Curwen, allegedly saying that the project was NOT approved. Let’s all have a collective groan now, shall we?

Take a look at The Residence PDF prospectus and drop me a comment.

Jdid, what making me laff is the people prospectus talking about “buy property on unspoilt Grand Anse Beach”. If they build that monstrosity THEY go spoil Grand Anse Beach for real!

I’m holding out hope that the developers will get fed up and decide to go. Stranger things have happened.
