Sunny Day

It was one of those days.

Sunny and balmy, not too hot or humid. The sky was clear and blue, punctuated by fluffy white clouds slowly drifting by.  The sea was calm, barely a ripple of a wave. My favourite shady spot was empty, the sand had been recently raked by the beach cleaning crew.

I spread my towel, sunblocked Little YY, and lay back on the sand with a soft “ahhhh”. After a little while, with the soothing sound of the teeny-tiny waves lapping the shore, I literally felt the worries and weight of the previous week fall away.  Relaxation began an unfamiliar journey through every limb and muscle, the barest semblance of a sense of humour emerged as I giggled and chatted with Little YY.  Life suddenly felt really really good, all was well with the world.

The point of the story is I NEED ONE OF THESE BEACH DAYS RIGHT NOW!!!!!1! Argghhh!! 😦

How marvelous. How enviable. Wonderful to know that there is someone grasping the occasion. I took a dip with you and your Little YY.

i don’t think i’ll ever get tired of grand anse beach! been too long since i’ve had time for a beach day.

now that i’m spending so much time at the dive shop @ prickly bay, i really cannot believe that tourists pay upwards of $800US a night to stay there and swim at that beach. it’s not very nice there.

why not just stay at a less expensive hotel and enjoy all the much nicer beaches on the island??

    meh! but that’s just me.
